Kids of any age really like drumsticks, and any parent can attest to this. As any parent would attest, when the little ones enjoy something, the parents often end up eating it too. It's Alright. Being a parent, you give up a lot of things. Yet, your meal doesn't have to be one of them! Because of this, I've developed several drumstick variants throughout the years to keep the game fresh for older audiences. And as they got older, my children came to value those distinctions as well. Some of them are listed below:
Whenever I see chicken drumsticks in the fridge, I usually just bake them. There are no added flavours, like as marinades or sauces. All you need is some olive oil, seasoning, and 40 minutes in a hot oven. Totally flawless!🍗
INGREDIENTS
There are just a few basic ingredients required for this delicious chicken dish. The recipe card down below has all the precise measurements. Here's a rundown of the essentials:
Chicken drumsticks: In this dish, I use MEATBAAZ drumsticks. because it is delicious & Fresh . A package of five may be stretched to ten by using the same recipe but adding half a tablespoon more olive oil.
Olive oil: Using this flavorful oil in the kitchen is a joy. Nevertheless, melted butter may be used as a substitute if you want an oil with a greater smoke point.
salt and black pepper: It's important to remember to use less fine salt than regular table salt while cooking.
Spices: Powdered forms of garlic, onion, and chilli pepper. Flavor-wise, this meal is substantially enhanced by the addition of cayenne. It enhances the meal with just the right amount of heat. But if you can't stand the heat, cut down to 1/8 teaspoon (a pinch).
INSTRUCTIONS: Drumsticks from MeatBaaz are a breeze to cook in the oven. For further information, including a comprehensive recipe, please see the card below. The fundamentals are as follows:
1. The first thing you should do is set your oven temperature to 400 degrees F. Next use parchment paper to line a baking sheet with a lip.
2. Make a paste by combining the oil and spices. Spread the paste evenly over the drumsticks from MeatBaaz and arrange them in a single layer on the baking sheet. If you don't have a pastry brush, you may use your hands.
3. The chicken should be baked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit for the last phase. For medium drumsticks, the cooking time should be close to 40 minutes.
EXPERT TIP : After 30 minutes, check to see whether the drumsticks are still OK to eat. Keep cooking until they are cooked through; if they are browning too quickly on top, tent them loosely with foil.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
This main course is quite versatile and may be served with any number of other meals. Nevertheless, because I bake these drumsticks at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, I prefer to serve them with a side dish that also requires baking in the oven.
